Clinical presentation:
Young male patient presented with a mild to moderate pain in lower right side.
Chief complaint:
Pain with sweets while chewing on my filled lower right molar.
Medical history: free.
Dental history : Previous amalgam restorations , extraction of upper second molar.
Extra oral examination:
– NAD
Intra-oral examination:
– Defective old amalgam restoration..no pain on percussion..no swelling.
Treatment phase:
1- Nerve block anesthesia
2- Amalgam removal under rubber dam
3- Cavity design
4- Resin coating
5- Decoupling with time
6- Successive cusp build up
7- Finishing & polishing
