🔹 Endodontic Retreatment + Composite Restoration
This case was a 15 years old patient presented with chronic apical abscess with mandibular first molar involved a previously root canal-treatment that presented with symptomatic failure and a defective amalgam restoration. The diagnostic radiograph showed inadequate obturation with 3 canals, one missed canal and signs of apical pathology.
✅ Steps Taken:
1. Rubber dam isolation, Removal of old amalgam and gutta-percha, followed by thorough irrigation and disinfection of the canal system.
2. Microscopic retreatment performed to ensure complete debridement and shaping of the canal space.
3. Obturation achieved with warm vertical condensation technique
4. Post-endodontic restoration completed with direct composite build.
