A colleague dentist presented to our clinic complaining of cold sensitivity in the lower right quadrant.
Diagnosis: Clinical and radiographic examination revealed secondary dental caries on the mesial surface of the lower right first molar (#46). Treatment: The old amalgam restoration was completely removed, the decay was excavated, and the tooth was successfully restored using a direct composite resin restoration. The patient’s symptoms resolved completely.
