severely compromised posterior tooth was managed with a minimally invasive direct composite restoration. After proper isolation with a rubber dam, carious tissue was carefully removed while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.
The restoration was built incrementally, with emphasis on anatomical form, cusp preservation, marginal adaptation, and functional occlusion. Final finishing and polishing restored a natural morphology and smooth surface texture.
Key principles:
- Excellent moisture control
- Conservative caries removal
- Maximum preservation of sound tooth structure
- Anatomical composite layering
- Proper occlusal adjustment and polishing
Aesthetic, functional, and conservative dentistry — preserving the tooth whenever possible.
