Replacement of an old defective composite filling .
The tooth is endo-treated , the tooth lost is large , yet the patient has a limited budget and can not afford the indirect restoration cost .. so i decided to do a SRDC .
Ribbond was used two different ways in this case.
The first was to wallpaper the marginal ridge. Ribbond is used to mimic the crack deflecting properties of the DEJ.
The second piece was used to protect the hybrid layer in the high c-factor area of the crack dissection and the pulpal floor. Ribbond has been found to be able to protect the hybrid layer from polymerization shrinkage stress of the overlaying composite
– Old filling removal
– Air Abrasion
– IDS wtih SE Bond
– Proximal wall replacement with 4 increments
– 10 min for DWT
– Ever-X & Ever-X Flow for dentin replacement with several layers
– GC as enamel replacement
– Final finishing & polishing
Both of us were happy with the final result
