My Surface treatment protocol for the tooth as follows:

- Sandblasting
- Total etch
- Chlorhexidine rinse
- Silane coupling agent on composite only
- OptiBond FL primer
- OptiBond FL adhesive.. 2 layers
- Light cure for 20 – 40 seconds
- Wait 5 minutes for the hybrid layer to mature
Surface treatment protocol for the E-max
- Sandblasting of the internal surface
- Etch the internal surface of E-max with 10% HydroFloric acid etchant for 20-25 seconds
- Etch the internal surface of E-max with 37% Phosphoric acid etchant for 20-25 seconds
- Silane coupling agent for 60 seconds then air dry
