What to find under amalgam filling ?
As everyone of the BRD community says : there is no simple restoration .
I always expect the worst after amalgam removal
– amalgam filling removal revealed a huge amount of secondary caries
– CREs achieved using CDD
– IDS with SEP then majesty flow for RC
– Proximal wall reconstructed after more than 30 min for DWT
– Ribbond placed in the most critical area upon the gingival + axial wall embedded in EXP
– EXP + EXF for dentin replacement
– 3M for successive cups replacement .
– Occlusal verticalization with paper technique
