Deep margin elevation (DME)
This is a restorative clinical procedure consisting of raising approximately 2 mm with resin the margins that were below the gum, with the intention that they are visible to be able to seal on them our indirect restoration.
This case can only be carried out strictly under absolute isolation, It was hard to isolate? Yes, but it was not impossible, the important thing right here is to expose all the margins and achieve an excellent seal of these with our elevation system. After this, an impression was taken to perform the indirect restoration.
With this treatment we saved this premolar from an extraction and keep it in function for much longer.
Protocols:
-Root Canal treatment
-Selective caries removal
-Immediate Dentin Sealing
-Deep margin elevation using Ever x posterior as dentin reaplacement.
Ready for indirect.
