The excavation of caries must be careful.. and from the periphery to the center.. use of slow speed burs allow us to carefully remove infected dentin until we reach affected dentin.. which is hard..
The cavity is then disinfected using Chlorhexidine for 1 minute..
This is followed by thorough isolation and restorative protocol..
