a patient was referred to our clinic complaining of pain related to the lower right area. Following a thorough clinical and radiographic assessment, we found that the pain was related to tooth #46
In the initial visit, the primary focus was on managing the source of pain: root canal treatment was done for tooth #46.
Prosthetic Preparation: Immediate transition was made to prepare the tooth for an indirect E-max overlay, ensuring a conservative approach to preserve the remaining tooth structure while providing necessary cuspal coverage.
The second visit focused on the definitive restoration of the quadrant using a combination of indirect and direct techniques:
Cavity Preparation: Class II cavities were prepared on the lower right second premolar (#45) and second molar (#47)
Adhesive Cementation: The E-max overlay for the first molar was cemented using Bisco Thera-Cem.
Direct Restorations: direct composite restorations were placed for the #45 and #47, restoring the proximal contacts and occlusal anatomy
