Saving lower first molar by removing the caries , gingivactomy and evaluation the restorability of the tooth
The tooth had an endodontic treatment as shown in xray
I prefer to retreated to eliminate any chance of failure in future
To remove Old Gutta percha
1.use pesso reamer and small size no.1 the thinnest
2.use rotary edge files or any system for gutta removal
All above are mechanical way ,you could use gutta solvant to insure removal of all remaining gutta percha at the walls that rotary file can’t reach and better penetration of irrigat to canal wall and lateral canals
Make sure to remove the smear layer and solvant by EDTA 17% liquid for one minute
Final irrigation with chx2% and just dry the canal and obturated with bioceramic sealer
Note don’t miss the normal saline between irrigant
Good prep and zirconia crown placed
